Prvo plinarsko društvo becomes the new main sponsor of Rugby Club Sinj

With this partnership, PPD reaffirms its commitment to supporting sports and local communities across Croatia, while Rugby Club Sinj gains a strong partner who will enable the further development of rugby in the town of the Alka, as well as, undoubtedly, new sporting successes.

Sinj, September 24, 2025 – Prvo plinarsko društvo (PPD) is the new main sponsor of Rugby Club Sinj. With the signing of the agreement, sponsorship has been secured for the upcoming rugby season in which the Sinj team will defend their Croatian championship title.

For years, despite its amateur status and limited resources, Rugby Club Sinj has managed to achieve remarkable sporting success, while also building an identity rooted in unity, perseverance, and the fighting spirit for which they are especially known. As part of this cooperation, the club receives support for upcoming challenges, while the PPD logo will be prominently displayed on the team’s new kit for the upcoming season.

On the occasion of the contract signing, PPD Management Board member Zvonimir Šibalić emphasized that the company proudly supports clubs and sports that may not make media headlines, but play an important role in local communities.

“At PPD, we believe in the power of sport to shape character and foster community. I am confident that Sinj will once again be Croatian champions this coming year, but more importantly, that they will continue to bring together a large number of young people and help them realize their potential. Our company’s logo and name on the club’s new kit symbolize this shared vision, and we look forward to standing alongside Sinj both on and off the field,” said Šibalić.

At the presentation of the partnership, Rugby Club Sinj President Ivica Dinarina-Šimić expressed his honor that PPD recognized the club as a partner, adding that this is proof that dedicated work, pure love for rugby, and a spirit of togetherness in Sinj are recognized and valued far beyond the city itself.

“This sponsorship allows us a more stable start to the season, as well as the opportunity to improve our training and rugby school. Our club will continue to spread the positive values that rugby symbolizes in Sinj. Together with PPD, we want rugby in Sinj – and in Croatia as a whole – to reach a new level and be more widely recognized as a sport that unites, inspires, and teaches young people,” said Dinarina-Šimić.
